In the middle of this time of “social distancing, we are preparing for Passover next Wednesday. My family has celebrated Passover together for many years. Every year I look forward to sitting around the table with my children and grandchildren, recounting the Passover story in Egypt, and noting how each tiny detail was fulfilled by Jesus, Yeshua, the promised Messiah. But this year my children are making preparations to celebrate their Seder meal inside of their own homes in Olive Branch, Brandon, Starkville and Greenville, SC. We are hoping to Zoom together somehow just to connect on this important night.
Today is the 10th of Nissan or Abib in the Hebrew Calendar: The day Israel chose the lamb before Passover. This day the father of the household would pick out a lamb, bringing it into their home, to love it, nurture it, then sacrifice it on Passover evening.
“Exodus 12:3 Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying, ‘On the tenth of this month they are each one to take a lamb for themselves, according to their fathers’ households, a lamb for each household.”
Can you imagine the excitement of the children as the father searched for the perfect lamb for their family? He would bring in a live, sweet lamb, one-year-old and they would love it, pet it, feed it, really get to know this lamb on a personal basis. Then this lamb would become the sacrifice four days later.

Today, we bring in our lamb and focus on knowing him on a more personal basis. Today I ask myself, “Who is this Lamb to me?”
Looking back over my life, I have discovered He is: my Shepherd, my Savior, my Deliverer, my Redeemer, my Healer, my Hope, my Peace. He is everything I could ever need.
A dear friend called and read his names out loud to me today and I felt His presence literally come into the room. She helped us “bring the Lamb into our home.”
He is El Shaddai, the Lord God Almighty; El Elyon, the Most High God; Adonai, my Lord and Master; El Olam, the Everlasting God; Jehovah Sabaoth, the Commander of the Angel Armies; Jehovah Shalom, the Prince of Peace; Jehovah Shammah, The Lord who is Present; El Roi, The God who sees; The Alpha & Omega, the beginning and the end. He is Abba, our Father, our comforter, our protector. He is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Wisdom and Truth. He is Jesus, Yeshua, the Messiah, the Passover lamb, and the Resurrected King.
So I ask you today, Have you brought the Lamb into your home? Have you intentionally gotten to know Him on a personal basis? Who is he to you?

All I can say is, “Behold the Lamb!”
Thank you, yes! Behold the lamb. Love you

Mine, too.
He’s Here! He lives with me and has for some time. He is the Lover Of My Soul – My All in All, I in Him and He in Me, the Lamb who is also the Lion. He and I plan to spend Resurrection Sunday together. What a glorious day it will be – today, tomorrow and forever. Glory to the Risen Lamb.
